Agreement and scope

These Terms govern your use of the Sonixy website, application, account, and connected services operated by GAO JIAN, an independent developer. By using the service, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by law. Viewing the pricing page alone does not create a purchase, start a trial, or mean that you accepted a subscription.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms or have authorization from the person or organization you represent. Verifying with Google, Apple, or an email code creates or signs in to your Sonixy account. Creating an account does not start a paid plan, purchase, or trial. Provide accurate account information, keep your separate browser and macOS sessions secure, and notify us if you believe your account is compromised. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

License and Apple terms

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal or internal-business, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Sonixy for its intended purpose. You may not sell, sublicense, copy, reverse engineer, or circumvent technical protections except where applicable law expressly allows it.

If Sonixy is distributed through Apple and no separate valid custom end-user license agreement is presented, the Apple Standard EULA applies to the licensed application. Apple marketplace, media-services, and purchase terms may also apply. These Terms govern Sonixy’s service and do not claim to be a custom EULA filed in App Store Connect.

Acceptable use

Do not use Sonixy to violate law or another person’s rights; process audio or text without required permission; distribute malware; harass, exploit, or defraud others; bypass authentication, quotas, or security controls; probe or disrupt the service; misuse provider credentials; or use generated output as proof of facts you have not verified. Do not use the service in a way that violates applicable Soniox, OpenAI, Apple, or marketplace policies. These rules apply to trial and paid users alike; payment does not authorize abusive use.

Your content

You retain rights you have in audio, text, selections, instructions, and other content you submit. You give us a limited, non-exclusive right to process that content only as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and comply with law for the service. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content, including consent for recorded speech or third-party text where required.

Voice and AI output

Speech recognition and AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or unsuitable. Review output before sending, publishing, relying on, or applying it. Ask Anything previews editing candidates and requires your confirmation before applying them under the current product contract. Sonixy does not provide legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice and does not guarantee factual accuracy, uniqueness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Trial, pricing, and purchases

The website currently shows a tentative plan preview of US$11.99 per month, US$119.99 per year, and a planned free trial. The website has no checkout and does not start a trial, take payment, or create a subscription. GAO JIAN determines trial eligibility, duration, included features, and offer rules based on operational plans and will disclose them before a trial begins. To the extent permitted by law, GAO JIAN reserves the final interpretation of, and may change or withdraw, a trial offer before it begins.

Free-trial access is provided “as is” and “as available.” Except for rights that cannot be waived, we make no commitment to trial users about availability, continuity, capacity, support response, complete feature access, data retention, or fitness for a particular purpose, and may limit, change, or end trial access at any time.

If a subscription is offered, the actual purchase screen will identify the subscription, duration, included service, full renewal price, free-trial length and post-trial charge, renewal behavior, and how to manage or cancel before you confirm. Purchases made through Apple are processed by Apple; billing, cancellation, restoration, and refund eligibility are governed by the terms and consumer rights that apply to that transaction.

Fair use and service limits

A paid plan does not include unlimited use. GAO JIAN may set or adjust usage, frequency, concurrency, model, and feature limits based on provider, computing, network, security, and support costs. We may, at our discretion, temporarily allow usage above a normal plan limit. That allowance is revocable, non-transferable, does not change the plan, and creates no right to the same excess usage in the future.

If usage exceeds an applicable threshold or creates unusual cost, security risk, or service impact, we may rate-limit or queue requests, reduce concurrency, use a lower-cost processing method, restrict features, downgrade performance, or temporarily suspend service. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice or a way to restore service. We will not impose an additional charge for excess usage without your affirmative consent.

Abuse includes evading account, authentication, quota, or security controls; sharing or reselling credentials; fraudulent or unlawful use; disrupting or exhausting service resources; violating applicable provider policies; or automated, concurrent, frequent, or high-volume use that materially exceeds the normal expectations of the purchased plan and causes abnormal cost, risk, or service impact. For abuse, evasion, or a material breach by a paid user, we may restrict, suspend, or terminate some or all service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, amounts already paid and unused subscription time are not refunded in that case, except where mandatory law or the applicable Apple transaction terms require a refund.

Privacy and third-party services

Our Privacy Policy explains how Sonixy handles data. Sonixy depends on services such as Soniox, OpenAI, Cloudflare, PocketBase-based infrastructure, and, where applicable, Apple. Third-party outages, policy changes, account limits, and regional availability can affect Sonixy. Their services are governed by their own terms, and we do not control them.

Intellectual property

Sonixy, its software, website, visual design, trademarks, documentation, and original materials are owned by GAO JIAN or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. Except for the limited license above, these Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

Availability and changes

We may maintain, modify, suspend, or discontinue features to improve security, reliability, compliance, or the product. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every feature will remain available in every region, application, operating system, or provider account. Material changes affecting paid access will be handled in line with applicable purchase terms and law.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Sonixy and sign out at any time. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, non-payment after paid service launches, evasion of service limits, or a material breach of these Terms. The fair-use and refund rules above apply to an abuse-related action. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and accrued obligations—will survive.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sonixy is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GAO JIAN and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption arising from the service. Nothing here excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Applicable law and changes to these Terms

Mandatory consumer-protection and other non-waivable rights available where you live are not limited by these Terms. Any dispute is subject to the law and forum that validly apply under applicable rules and transaction terms; this page does not designate a jurisdiction that has not been disclosed to you.

We may update these Terms as the service, providers, or law changes. We will publish a new revision date and provide additional notice where required. Continuing to use the service after an effective update constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by law.
